Job summary

Gila River Indian Community seeks a Grant Specialist to drive grant research, proposals, and administration within the Gila River Police Department. You will manage budgets, compliance, and reporting across multiple grants and timelines.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, ability to coordinate with tribal and federal agencies, and experience in grant lifecycle management from application to close-out.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of grant processes, policies, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with budgets, close-out, and financial reports.
• Ability to interpret grant guidance and prepare proposals.

Responsibilities

• Research and apply for grants; prepare proposals for completeness and clarity.
• Provide guidance on compliance and budget/spending plans.
• Process grant award contracts and monitor grant budgets.
• Prepare narratives and financial reports for grant portals.
• Develop SOPs and participate in grant meetings.
