Job summary

CRIT seeks an experienced grant writer to research funding sources, prepare and submit competitive proposals, and manage grant reporting. The role requires maintaining donor communications, meeting deadlines, and collaborating with accounting to ensure accurate reporting on funded projects.

The candidate should have at least two years of grant writing experience in a nonprofit setting and a Bachelor’s degree in communications or a similar field. Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.

• Minimum two years of grant writing experience for non-profit fundraising.
• Experience in deadline-driven environments.
• Ability to monitor and meet revenue goals.
• Excellent grammar and strong research skills.
• Teamwork and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent writing and documenting skills.
• Knowledge of fundraising information sources and proposal writing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and other sources.
• Research potential funding prospects and maintain grant records and reporting.
• Write proposals for unrestricted operating revenue and restricted projects, and report to funders.
• Collaborate with accounting to gather information for grant reports.
• Ensure timely reports and compliance with grant requirements.
• Expand donor cultivation and manage donor relationships.
