Job summary

Grayson College in Denison, TX seeks a Grant Project Manager to lead grant-funded initiatives supporting community mental health and wraparound services. You will coordinate timelines, manage stakeholders, monitor expenditures, collect performance data, and ensure compliance with grant requirements.

This role is grant-funded and contingent on ongoing funding; employment beyond the current period depends on grant funds.

  • Support continuous improvement and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Grant Project Manager

Role: The Grant Project Manager provides leadership and oversight for the implementation, coordination, and administration of grant-funded initiatives supporting community mental health and wraparound services. The position is responsible for managing project timelines, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, monitoring grant expenditures, collecting and analyzing performance data, tracking progress toward grant objectives, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. Working collaboratively with college departments and community partners, the Grant Project Manager serves as the central point of coordination to ensure project activities are completed on schedule, documented accurately, and aligned with institutional and grant expectations

This position is funded by a grant and is contingent upon continued grant funding. Employment beyond the current grant period is subject to the availability of grant funds.

The salary for this position is $44,281.34 - $66,422.02 per year.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

35% Project Management and Grant Administration: Provides overall project management for grant-funded initiatives by coordinating implementation activities, developing and monitoring project timelines, tracking deliverables and milestones, facilitating project meetings, and ensuring grant activities are completed in accordance with approved work plans. Coordinates communication among internal departments and external partners, identifies implementation challenges, and recommends solutions to maintain project progress and achieve grant objectives.

25% Performance Measurement, Data Collection, and Evaluation: Develops and maintains systems to collect, monitor, and analyze project data and performance metrics. Tracks progress toward grant objectives and outcome measures, prepares dashboards and reports, evaluates project effectiveness, and supports continuous quality improvement efforts. Collaborates with institutional research, finance, and project partners to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting

15% Fiscal Oversight and Grant Compliance: Monitors grant expenditures to ensure appropriate use of funds and compliance with grant requirements. Tracks project budgets, reviews expenditures, coordinates purchasing activities, maintains financial documentation, and works collaboratively with the Business Office and Grant Office to reconcile budgets and prepare financial reports. Assists in ensuring compliance with federal, state, institutional, and grant-specific regulations and reporting requirements.

10% Partnership Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinates communication and collaboration among internal departments, external stakeholders, community organizations, and other grant partners. Schedules and facilitates partnership meetings, monitors partner activities and deliverables, supports implementation of collaborative initiatives, and maintains documentation of partnership engagement and project outcomes.

10% Reporting, Documentation and Communication: Prepares grant reports, meeting summaries, progress updates, presentations, and supporting documentation for institutional leadership, funding agencies, and project stakeholders. Maintains organized project records, grant documentation, policies, and supporting materials necessary for audits, monitoring visits, and grant reporting.

5% Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience. Preferred: 4 years of similar or related experience.

Education: A Bachelor's degree. Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field.

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.

Physical Requirements: The work is typically sedentary. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to do the work.

Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical office.
