Job summary

Meals on Wheels People in Portland, OR seeks a Grant Manager to lead and strengthen our grants program. You will oversee proposal development from government sources, foundations, and corporate funders, manage grant calendars, and ensure timely reporting to sustain essential senior services.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of grant writing, grant management, fundraising, or related nonprofit development experience preferred.
• Proven success writing grant proposals and securing foundation, corporate, and/or government funding.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the full range of activities required to prepare, write, submit, and manage grant proposals for foundations, corporations, and government sources.
• Researches and records grant funding opportunities, deadlines, and criteria.
• Builds and strengthens relationships with funding and community partners.
• Compiles information for applications through collaboration with staff and data sources.
• Creates and manages proposals and reports for federal, state, and local government opportunities.
• Develops and maintains annual grant calendar and files; ensures donor database accuracy.
• Supports monitoring and evaluation of funded programs and compliance with grant requirements.
