Job summary

Capital School District seeks a grant-funded Middle School Mathematics Coach to provide sustained instructional coaching for grades six to eight. The role focuses on strengthening math instruction, improving student achievement, and building long-term capacity within the school.

Time split is approximately eighty percent school-based coaching and twenty percent state-directed professional learning, in collaboration with the Delaware Department of Education.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Delaware Educator Licensure with math certification.
• Minimum five years of successful middle/secondary math teaching.
• Experience coaching or mentoring adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide job-embedded instructional coaching for grades 6–8.
• Support implementation of Delaware Mathematics Standards.
• Mentor novice teachers to strengthen practice.
• Collaborate with PLCs to improve Tier I instruction.
• Plan and facilitate professional learning aligned to priorities.
