Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, TX, invites applications for a grant-funded Distance Learning & Career Navigation Coordinator Pool. This part-time, non-exempt role supports ESL distance learning, digital navigation, digital literacy and career pathways for students enrolled in the ESL program.

The position involves recruiting and managing student enrollment, coordinating orientations, and maintaining records in line with state requirements, with a flexible schedule that may include evenings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or related field required.
• One year in higher education or alternative training programs as a career counselor, job training coach, and/or case manager required.
• Experienced with student recruitment, academic advising or workforce placement.
• Ability to manage a small caseload of students pursuing career pathways.
• Ability to create courses and manage distance learning programs.

Responsibilities

• Support distance learning program and coordinator in recruiting and managing student enrollment. Collect and review weekly and end of month program reports.
• Support and assist with distance learning program orientation, enrollment and outreach efforts with flexible work schedule including evenings.
• Manage small caseload of students enrolled in Career Pathways programs to include advising, and tracking student success and challenges.
• Maintain, monitor and prepare student records in accordance with TWC requirements.

This is a grant funded position. Continuation of this grant funded position is contingent upon the continued availability of grant funds. There is no right or expectancy of continued employment beyond the terms of the employment agreement.
This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill Part-Time assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. You will be contacted by the hiring manager should the department/division be interested in scheduling an interview.
