Tallahassee State College invites applications for a full-time Culinary Career/Technical Educator Instructor – P06219 at the Quincy Annex Correctional Institute in Quincy, Florida. The role involves teaching career/technical programs, guiding student pathways, and maintaining a safe instructional environment while preparing learners for industry certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with four years of vocational experience in the taught field, or an AS/2+ years degree with two years of occupational experience.
• Additional education or training may substitute on a year-for-year basis for up to two years of the required experience.
• Experience in the commercial and hospitality food preparation industry.
• Experience teaching adults/non-traditional learners in diverse settings.
• Current or able to obtain a SafeServ Food Safety Manager certification.
• Florida teaching certificate from a district or DOC Vocational Certificate desired.

Responsabilités

• Teach assigned career/technical education program through varied teaching environments to a diverse population.
• Assist students with academic and career pathways plans.
• Maintain a safe instructional environment and safeguard equipment.
• Maintain student records and report to the Florida Department of Corrections.
• Review tests, plan lessons, and track attendance and certifications.
