Job summary

Vail Health, a leading mountain healthcare system, seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator for a 3-year grant-funded role in Edwards, CO. You will verify patient rights, ensure trial data accuracy, and oversee protocol compliance across study activities.

Responsibilities include trial management, IRB coordination, recruitment strategies, documentation, and interdepartmental communication with investigators and sponsors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with clinical trials required.
• Oncology-specific experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Research Professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the conduct of clinical trials, including recruitment analysis, documentation preparation, trial safety, IRB submissions, and stakeholder communication.
• Maintain essential trial records: IRB approvals, CVs, brochures, protocols, CRFs, consents, lab data, and payment schedules.
• Maintain sponsor correspondence records, IRB submissions, amendments, budgets, contracts, and approved consent forms; monitor updates and closures online.
• Develop patient recruitment strategies to increase accrual; coordinate investigator meetings, advertising, and distribution of eligibility criteria.
• Prepare patient packets with updated consent/IRB, eligibility checklists, treatment calendars, and lab certificates; coordinate treatment scheduling.
• Complete Case Report Forms for labs, ensure proper storage/shipping of specimens, and respond to data queries promptly.
• Collaborate with clinical staff and PI to ensure protocol-required tests are performed and properly billed; initiate treatment and follow-up with patients and sponsors.
• Recognize and report adverse events to the PI and SWOG per protocols; attend investigator-coordinator meetings and study closeouts.
