Job summary

Broward County Public Schools is seeking a Behavioral Technician (Grant/Special Funds) to support students with behavioral needs at Pine Ridge Education Center in Fort Lauderdale.

Responsibilities include collecting data, supporting Functional Behavioral Assessments, developing and implementing behavioral programs, and assisting staff with behavior management strategies consistent with district policies.

Qualifications

• Standard high school diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years experience with behaviorally complex children.
• Associate degree or 60 credits with 2+ years experience acceptable.
• Must have computer skills as required for the position.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect data in the school environment.
• Assist in data gathering for Functional Behavior Assessments.
• Assist in developing and implementing behavioral programs including behavior plans.
• Assist staff with techniques for behavioral systems.
• Monitor data and share recommendations for intervention with staff.
• Monitor/supervise students needing behavioral intervention.
