Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Project Manager for the Addiction Research Institute within the School of Social Work. This grant-funded role focuses on developing and delivering regional behavioral health training and technical assistance, with oversight of staff and consultants.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Social Sciences with at least 5 years of project management experience in behavioral health, US work authorization, and the ability to work remotely within Texas,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences or related field with at least 5 years of project management experience in behavioral health.
• Minimum of 3 years staff supervision experience managing project teams.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to be flexible and have strong prioritization and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, direct and monitor regional behavioral health center workforce development training and technical assistance projects utilizing accepted project management methodologies.
• Communicate and consult with project team members, subject matter experts and other stakeholders.
• Assist Director with strategic planning, report writing, and grant development.
• Supervise project team staff.
• Attend state, regional, and national meetings and training as needed to support project goals and facilitate collaboration.
• Participate in cross regional and national cross network work groups to advance behavioral health training and technical assistance center goals and objectives.
• Additional duties as assigned.
