Job summary

Yakima Neighborhood Health Services is seeking a Development Director to lead grant development and funding growth, with primary responsibility for identifying, securing, and sustaining public and private support.

You will serve as the organization's lead strategist and author for competitive grant applications, with a focus on federal funding opportunities, while collaborating with executive leadership to advance financial sustainability and mission impact.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of grant research, development, and writing across federal, state, and foundation awards.
  • Experience with federal grants (HRSA, SAMHSA, HUD, CDC, NIH) required.
  • Strong knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), NOFOs, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local regulations and program requirements.
  • Master's degree may substitute for experience.
  • Must not be excluded from federal or state healthcare programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead grant prospecting strategy and funding pipeline.
  • Lead author for competitive federal and foundation proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with federal grant requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams for proposal development.
  • Manage grant lifecycle including reporting and compliance.
  • Maintain tracking systems and improve grant processes.
