Job summary

Yakima Neighborhood Health Services is seeking a Development Director to lead our grant development strategy and funding growth. You will identify, secure, and sustain public and private grants, with a strong emphasis on federal funding opportunities, working closely with executive leadership to advance financial sustainability.

You will serve as the organization’s lead author for competitive proposals, coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive a robust grant

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant research, development, and writing for federal, state, and foundation awards.
  • Demonstrated experience with federal grants (HRSA, SAMHSA, HUD, CDC, NIH).
  • Working knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), NOFOs, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and local regulations and program requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant research tools.
  • Master’s degree may substitute for experience.
  • Must not be excluded from federal or state healthcare programs.
  • Remote work may be considered based on knowledge of the community.

Established in 1975, Yakima Neighborhood Health Services is a Community Health Center in Central Washington State serving our communities through holistic and integrated team-based care. Our mission is to improve quality of life and equity in our communities by providing accessible and integrated health and social services, ending homelessness and offering unique learning opportunities for students of health professions. Our teams include specialists in primary care medical, dental, behavioral health, care coordination, pharmacy, health related social needs (including housing) and other basic needs. Our focus populations include agricultural workers, people experiencing homelessness, LGBTQIA+, and anyone needing extra TLC. YNHS is a welcoming organization.

This position works closely with executive leadership to advance YNHS’s financial sustainability and mission impact.
