Job summary

CFS in New Haven, CT is seeking a Grants & Compliance Manager who will own grant accounting across affiliated entities, ensuring compliance with federal and state requirements and audit readiness.

You will liaison with grant agencies, lead staff training, develop grant tracking systems, and support month‑/year‑end closes while improving reporting and accountability across programs.

This is a mission‑driven role focused on youth development, healthy living, and community impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive grant management/compliance experience.
  • Experience with federal/state grants, funder reporting, and audit support.
  • Proficiency in Excel and grant management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage grant-related financial and programmatic reporting for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Review grant contracts and monitor compliance with federal, state, local, and contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate grantor reports, reimbursement requests, and grant-related accounting reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes related to grant financials.
  • Coordinate internal, funder, and annual financial audit activities, including Single Audit schedules.
  • Develop and maintain grant tracking systems, SOPs, and compliance training.

  • Experience with federal and/or state grants, funder reporting, reimbursement processes, and audit support required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial or grant management systems
