OUC – The Reliable One invites applications for a Grants Administration Intern in the Financial & Support Services division. The program partners with energy leaders and experienced professionals to provide real-world experience and fresh perspectives essential for growth.

You will support FEMA-related tasks, develop procedures, and convert forms into Power BI resources. Eligibility includes current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in Emergency Management or Business, a 3.0+ GPA, and

Qualificações

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university.
• Academic status: Junior or Senior.
• Program of study: Emergency Management or Business.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at the time of application.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Previous internship experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Research, evaluate and analyze processes to ensure effectiveness and compliance while providing recommendations.
• Assist with development, updating, and testing of procedures and the OUC FEMA manual.
• Assist with converting F-ROC forms into Power BI resources to facilitate process automation.
• Collaborate with external organizations to understand new regulations and assist with implementation at OUC.
• During emergency events, assist with the FEMA claim process by coordinating, collecting, and submitting required documentation and supporting FEMA PDMG.
• Support the designated business unit’s specific project needs.

OUC – The Reliable One, an industry leader and the second-largest municipal utility in Florida, is offering an internship program in the Financial & Support Services division. The OUC Internship Program is dedicated to providing students with real-world, hands‑on experience by partnering with energy leaders and experienced professionals, while bringing new and out-of-the-box perspectives and ideas that are essential for fostering the creativity and growth of any business. We are looking for a Grants Administration Intern. During this internship, you will partner with the Grants team.

You will be involved in:

• Research, evaluate and analyze processes, procedural methods, practices, strategies to ensure effectiveness and compliance while providing recommendations.
• Assist with the development, updating, and testing of procedures and the OUC Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) manual.
• Assist with converting F-ROC forms into Power-BI resources to facilitate process automation.
• Collaborate with external organizations to understand new regulations and assist with implementation at OUC.
• During emergency events, assist with the FEMA claim process by helping coordinate, collect, and submit required documentation and support, as well as interacting with the FEMA PDMG.
• Support the designated business unit’s specific project needs

Internship Eligibility

• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
• Academic status of Junior or Senior.
• Program of study: Emergency Management or Business
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at the time of application.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Previous internship experience preferred.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Strong academic foundation in Emergency Management, Finance and Accounting
• Experience with PowerBI and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and proactive; able to work independently.
• Ability to prioritize and resolve issues under deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Proven ability to learn new skills quickly.

Compensation:

$17 per hour, varies depending the education level

Schedule

Part-Time (up to 25 hours per week) from January 11th, 2027 to May 7th, 2027 following a Hybrid Schedule
