Job summary

Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a Grant Compliance & Accounting Specialist for a contract in Dallas, TX. The role covers post-award grant administration, financial management, invoicing, AR, revenue recovery, reporting, and compliance for federal, state, local, and private grants.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of grant accounting or nonprofit finance experience, with working knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200) and the ability to work onsite between two Dallas facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 3–5 years of grant accounting, grants management, nonprofit finance, or government-funded programs.
• Working knowledge of Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200).
• Experience with grant drawdowns, invoicing, AR, and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit grant invoices, reimbursement requests, drawdowns, and funding requests.
• Manage grant accounts receivable, collections follow-up, cash receipts, and reconciliations.
• Reconcile grant revenue, billings, draw requests, and payments to the general ledger.
• Monitor grant budgets, expenditures, spending rates, cash flow, and budget-to-actual performance.
• Identify reimbursement delays, funding variances, and compliance concerns.
• Ensure compliance with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200), HUD regulations, CoC, ESG, and other grant requirements.
• Track reporting deadlines, grant requirements, renewals, monitoring activities, and audits.
• Support external audits, compliance reviews, monitoring visits, and Single Audit requirements.
