Job summary

Sierra Health Foundation in California is seeking a Grant Accountant or Assistant Grant Accountant to join our Finance team. You will manage grant budgeting, financial reporting, and invoicing for government and nonprofit funding, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable guidelines.

The role collaborates with Program staff and Compliance to monitor budgets and reporting, while supporting periodic audits and ensuring funder requirements are met.

Qualifications

• 2+ years nonprofit accounting experience with grant budgeting and reporting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and strong Excel skills.
• Experience with grant budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in SAGE Intacct, Salesforce, Concur and Adaptive desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor budgets for awarded grants and contracts.
• Prepare financial reports and invoices for funders.
• Post to general ledger and reconcile budgets to reporting.
• Coordinate with Program staff and Compliance on grant requirements.
• Provide analysis of partners’ invoices and expenses as needed.
• Support year-end close, audits, and process improvements.
