Job summary

Hope the Mission in California is seeking a Grant and Revenue Accountant to manage grant accounting, invoicing, receivables, and revenue tracking across multiple funding sources.

Under the Director of Finance, you will prepare budgets, monitor fund balances, ensure GAAP compliance, and support audits and financial reporting for government and private grants. This is a full-time, on-site role in North Hills, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible nonprofit accounting experience.
• Experience with government-funded contracts and grants preferred.
• Experience with post-award grant management, invoicing, reconciliations, and audits preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor grant budgets, revenue tracking, and fund balances.
• Maintain grant coding and expense classification per GAAP and internal guidelines.
• Support grant close-out processes and final financial reporting.
• Assist with development and improvement of financial procedures and internal controls.
• Assist with monthly billing and invoicing for government and private funding sources.
• Assist with accounts receivable activity and collections follow-up.
