Job summary

CFS is seeking an experienced Grant Accountant to manage a portfolio of state and federal grants while supporting budgeting, analysis, reporting, and full-cycle accounting. This fully remote role emphasizes ownership of a diverse grant portfolio within a stable nonprofit organization.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on grant and full-cycle accounting, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with Abila MIP. Residency in Florida or nearby states is required for consideration, with a fully remote

Qualifications

• Hands-on grant accounting and full-cycle accounting experience required.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred; Finance considered with strong accounting experience.
• Abila MIP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting activities for assigned state and federal grants.
• Perform grant budgeting, budget-to-actual analysis, and financial reporting.
• Prepare journal entries and support month-end close.
• Review grant-related expenditures and procurement activity.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and posting issues.
