Job summary

CFS in Stow, OH, is seeking a Grant Accountant to support the financial management of grant-funded programs within a mission-driven nonprofit. The role combines grant accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting responsibilities to deliver accurate, compliant financial data.

You will manage expenditures, ensure costs align with funding requirements, and contribute to HUD and other government-funded program reporting, including SEFA preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• A few years of accounting experience, ideally within a nonprofit, grant-funded, or government-funded environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and financial reporting for assigned grants and funded programs
• Track grant expenditures and ensure costs are properly recorded and aligned with funding requirements
• Support accounting and reporting related to HUD and other government-funded programs
• Assist with preparation of the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA)
