Job summary

CFS in Tallmadge, Ohio is seeking a Grant Accountant to support grant tracking, reporting, and compliance within a nonprofit setting.

You will oversee grant expenses, prepare SEFA schedules, and support HUD and federally funded programs to ensure accurate financial statements and timely submissions. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting and nonprofit experience are preferred; strong attention to detail and deadline discipline are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Prior accounting experience, preferably nonprofit/grant-funded environments.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and funding requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial tracking, accounting, and reporting for assigned grants and funding sources.
  • Monitor grant-related expenses and ensure compliance with grant agreements and funding guidelines.
  • Assist with accounting and reporting requirements for HUD and other federally funded programs.
  • Contribute to the preparation and support of the SEFA (Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards).

Key Responsibilities (Grant Accountant)
