The organization manages a diverse portfolio of programs supported by multiple grants and funding sources, creating an important need for strong, accurate, and organized financial management.
As the organization continues to grow and strengthen its accounting operations, they are looking for a Grant Accountant who can step in and make an immediate impact. This person will play an important role in managing a high volume of grant activity, supporting compliance and reporting, and helping clean up and organize existing grant accounting.
We are partnering with a well-established organization in the Bellingham area to add a Grant Accountant to their accounting team. This position will initially be contract with strong potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
The Grant Accountant will support the accounting team with a high volume of grants and funding programs, helping ensure financial records are accurate, organized, and compliant with applicable grant requirements.
A significant focus of the position will be cleaning up and organizing existing grant accounting, identifying discrepancies, reconciling accounts, and helping establish stronger processes going forward.
