Job summary

Sims-Lohman is hiring a Granite Fabricator - Polisher to join our Columbus, OH facility. First shift runs 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with overtime as needed.

Compensation is based on interview and experience. Responsibilities include trimming, scraping, and polishing countertops with hand grinders and polishing equipment; verifying quality against templates and measurements; and operating fabrication machinery to router or polish edges.

Qualifications

• 6+ months' countertop polishing experience or 1+ year general industrial experience with grinders/polishers.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools including grinders and routers.
• Ability to read shop drawings and use a tape measure.
• Ability to work with heavyweight.
• Pre-employment drug screen required; background check not required.

Responsibilities

• Trim, scrape or polish countertops or parts using hand grinders and polishing equipment.
• Verify quality of finished countertops by inspecting them, comparing to templates or measuring dimensions.
• Operate fabrication machinery to router or polish countertop edges.
