Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. is seeking a Grain Systems Construction Specialist in Kinderhook, IL to plan, coordinate, and lead construction, maintenance, and improvements of company facilities across multiple locations.

The role requires directing daily activities, ensuring safety standards, and delivering projects on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, and blueprint-reading skills, with prior supervisory experience and a commitment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification in construction, building maintenance, carpentry, industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
• Experience in commercial, agricultural, or industrial construction and facility maintenance.
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, concrete, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and coordinate the daily activities of the Structures team.
• Assign work priorities based on operational needs and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Train, mentor, and provide guidance to maintenance personnel.
• Monitor project progress to ensure safety, efficiency, schedule, and budget goals.
• Coordinate work with the department manager to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and project documentation.
