Job summary

Primient in Decatur, IL is seeking a Grain Operator to operate and monitor grain receiving and shipping at our elevators. You will ensure safe, efficient handling of grain streams, monitor quality, and support maintenance tasks as needed.

The role requires the ability to work in hot and cold environments, ascend ladders, lift up to 55 lbs, and work overtime during harvest. A High School diploma or equivalent and mechanical equipment experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; mechanical equipment operating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate/monitor all grain receiving and shipping operations.
• Participate in grain quality control, general maintenance, housekeeping, and maintaining safety standards.
• Work in hot and cold temperatures, climb and work at heights exceeding 50', climb ladders, lift 55 lbs, and perform other physical duties.
• Work extra hours during harvest season.
