Job summary

ADM is seeking a full-time trader/origination professional to procure soybeans and corn for our rail trading team and Mankato processing plant. You will collaborate with regional managers to optimize freight, grow markets, and build a strong customer portfolio.

The role requires strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to learn new trading skills. Travel to customer sites and variable hours are expected as part of ADM’s trading team.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Agriculture, Business, or related field of study.
• 2+ years’ experience in cash commodity trading or related field.
• Strong computer competency in MS Office, IBM, Agris, ICE Connect and other web-based internal applications.
• Detail oriented in fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel to visit customers in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers in grain origination and logistics.
• Learn and contribute in a dynamic trading environment.
• Maintain clear customer account lists and regular ADM account contact.
• Provide excellent customer service and differentiate ADM from competitors.
• Handle accounting, logistics and other customer-related issues promptly.
• Make quick, logical decisions in a fast market.
• Understand local, national and global markets and ADM assets.
