Job summary

CGB Enterprises, Inc. in Vidalia, LA is seeking a general laborer to work at a facility that loads and unloads barges and trucks.

This role involves a wide range of duties, including cleaning and repair of barges, and ensuring grain quality throughout storage and transfer. You will participate in the Safety Program, follow OSHA and environmental regulations, and perform shoreline barge loading tasks, documentation, and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: 1 year in an industrial environment with a dependable work record.

Responsibilities

• Fully participate in the Safety Program and attend daily pre-shift meetings.
• Perform duties in compliance with OSHA, safety and environmental regulations; wear PPE as required.
• Perform shore-side barge loading duties including reading drafts and tying off barges.
• Transfer, load and move grain to appropriate locations as needed.
• Maintain grain quality during storage and transfer.
• Complete documentation timely, accurately and legibly.
• General cleaning and housekeeping; basic preventive maintenance.
