The role involves a wide range of duties, including cleaning, grinding, and performing preventive maintenance as needed, with emphasis on safety and quality of grain handling. The position requires physical stamina for 12-hour shifts, the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, and adherence to OSHA and internal safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: 1 year in an industrial environment.
• Basic math skills and ability to read instructions.
• Strong verbal and written communication; interact with all levels.
• Ability to follow directions and complete documentation.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload barges and trucks and monitor drafts.
• Perform shore-side barge loading and tie-offs.
• Maintain grain quality and perform housekeeping duties.
• Operate heavy equipment as required.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
