Job summary

Western Milling is seeking a skilled yard/plant operator to assist with receipt, storage and shipment of grain and crop inputs. You will operate front loaders, forklifts, and other equipment, monitor plant operations and quality control parameters, and ensure accurate batch records.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years' related experience; heavy equipment experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years' related experience preferred.
• Heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Basic operating knowledge of augers, belt-driven machinery, elevators, and other equipment used in the production process.

Responsibilities

• Operate front loaders to load trucks with agricultural products and forklifts to move product.
• Be proactive in operating and monitoring plant operations and serve as Control Room operator as needed.
• Grade and classify grain; record moisture, protein, dockage, odor etc.
