Job summary

Gold Star FS in Illinois is seeking a Millwright to build, install, and maintain grain storage and handling systems as part of the Structures team. This non-exempt, hourly role involves constructing grain bins, conveyors, legs and unload systems, reading layouts, and performing welding or fabrication as needed.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license, be able to travel to customer sites (including overnight), lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and comply with OSHA/EHS safety standards

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Must be able to travel to customer locations and job sites, including occasional overnight travel.
• Previous agricultural, grain handling, construction, mechanical, welding, fabrication, or related experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
• Ability to read and understand basic drawings, measurements, layouts, and installation instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the construction and erection of new grain bins and grain storage systems.
• Install, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair grain handling equipment and systems.
• Perform mechanical repairs, welding, fabrication, and torch work as needed.
• Read and follow layout plans and installation instructions.
• Safely operate hand tools and welding equipment.
• Coordinate with Sales Manager on project progress and issues.
