Job summary

CGB Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Grain Facility Operator in Training in Convent, LA. The role focuses on safe loading/unloading of barges and trucks and requires lifting, inspection of drafts, and day-to-day grain handling to maintain quality.

As part of a robust training path, you will advance through a career pathway with hands-on experience, documentation duties, and teamwork in an outdoor facility environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred 1 year of experience in an industrial environment.
• Basic mathematical skills and good communication abilities.
• Ability to follow directions and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Safety Program and attend daily pre-shift meetings.
• Load/unload barges and trucks, inspect drafts, and oversee deckhand activities.
• Perform daily duties to move grain and maintain quality during storage and transfer.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation and perform general clean-up tasks.
• Operate or assist with heavy equipment as required by location.
