Job summary

manpowe is seeking a Grain Facility Manager in Hurlock, MD to lead the day-to-day operations of a grain storage facility. You will ensure safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance while directing staff development and training.

The role involves coordinating with grain merchandising teams to optimize movement and storage of grain. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Logistics/Business or have 5–7 years of grain operations experience, with 3–5 years in supervisory roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Logistics, Business, or related field; or 5-7 years of grain operations experience in lieu of degree.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience, including supervisory roles.
• Knowledge of grain receiving, storage technologies, and regulatory compliance (OSHA, USDA, FDA).
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and travel to remote facilities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the grain storage facility, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations.
• Manage and develop facility personnel, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Implement and maintain safety programs to promote a safe working environment for all staff.
• Coordinate with grain merchandising teams to ensure timely and cost-effective grain movement and storage.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost reductions, and capital investments to enhance productivity and quality.
