Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workloads to meet operational needs and deadlines.
• Weigh inbound and outbound grain loads and maintain scale records.
• Track grain inventories by bin and maintain current records.
• Complete monthly physical inventories of grain and other products.
• Oversee basic maintenance and upkeep of grain handling equipment.
• Maintain lubrication schedules and maintenance documentation.
• Develop working knowledge of facility equipment.
• Monitor facility conditions and pest control protocols.
• Enforce safety procedures and oversee safety protocols.
• Maintain organized facility and proper storage of tools at day end.
• Identify repairs and upgrades; submit cost estimates to GM.
• Support merchandising through efficient execution of elevator activities.

Our client is seeking a Grain Elevator Operations Manager to lead day-to-day elevator operations, supervise seasonal operations staff, and coordinate workloads to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service. This individual will oversee grain handling activities, inventory management, basic equipment maintenance, and facility safety while supporting the merchandising team and serving customers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily workloads to meet operational needs and deadlines
• Weigh inbound and outbound grain loads and maintain accurate scale records
• Track grain inventories by bin and maintain current inventory records
• Complete monthly physical inventories of grain and other products
• Oversee basic maintenance and upkeep of grain handling equipment
• Maintain equipment lubrication schedules, motor replacement records, and other required maintenance documentation
• Develop a working knowledge of facility equipment
• Monitor facility conditions and maintain established pest control protocols
• Enforce company safety procedures and oversee safety protocols
• Maintain an organized facility and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored at the end of each day
• Identify equipment repairs, facility improvements, and operational upgrades and submit written recommendations and applicable cost estimates to the General Manager
• Support the merchandising team through efficient execution of grain elevator activities including origination

Qualifications

• Previous experience with grain elevator, grain handling, or related agricultural operations
• Working knowledge of grain handling equipment and general basic equipment maintenance
• Ability to maintain accurate inventory, maintenance, and operational records
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and established operating proceduresBasic computer proficiency, including email, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work the additional hours required during seasonal harvest periods
• Basic knowledge of grain hedging and futures markets is helpful but not required
