Job summary

Scoular is seeking motivated grain elevator operators to join our team and contribute to safe and reliable supply chain solutions for our customers.

We offer exposure to a variety of equipment and responsibilities, including loading/unloading grain, weighing/grading, and managing grain storage. This role requires occasional night work and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening.
• Willing to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfortable outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, high winds).
• Comfortable with ladders, heights and confined spaces.
• Able to work in dusty grain environments.
• Must wear PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, safety footwear).
• Able to perform strenuous tasks, lifting up to 50 lbs multiple times per day.
• Experience in a grain facility preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing grain while assisting with the weighing and grading of grain trucks.
• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, skid steer loaders, track mobiles, rail car movers).
• Manage grain storage by creating and moving grain piles, plus cleaning and maintaining bins and storage structures.
• Ensure a safe work environment by reporting unsafe practices or hazards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks to support operations.
• Ability to work nights.

About You

• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
• Flexibility to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat (90-120F), cold (subzero), and high winds (40+ mph).
• Must be comfortable with climbing ladders, heights, and working in confined spaces
• Must be able to work in environments with dust and airborne particles, including grain dust
• Wear required PPE, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and safety footwear.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. multiple times per day and standing on hard surfaces for extended periods
• Experience in a grain facility preferred but not required
