Job summary

The Scoular Company seeks motivated grain elevator operators to join our team and contribute to safe, reliable supply chain solutions for customers. You will load/unload grain, weigh/grade trucks, and operate heavy equipment across our grain facilities.

Applicants should be prepared for outdoor work in all weather, pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen, and comply with PPE requirements. We value teamwork, safety, and a strong work ethic at our 130-year-old, equity-focused company.

Qualifications

• Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening.
• Willingness to work overtime, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Be comfortable outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, high winds).
• Comfort with climbing ladders and working at heights; confined spaces.
• Work in environments with dust and grain dust.
• Wear PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, safety footwear).
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs multiple times daily; stand on hard surfaces.
• Experience in a grain facility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing grain; assist with weighing/grading of grain trucks.
• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, skid steers, track mobiles, rail car movers, etc.).
• Manage grain storage by creating/moving piles; perform general cleaning of bins/storage structures.
• Uphold safety protocols and report any unsafe practices or hazards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks to support operations.

Scoular is seeking motivated grain elevator operators to join our team and contribute to our mission of creating safe and reliable supply chain solutions for our customers.

• Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing grain while assisting with the weighing and grading of grain trucks.
• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, skid steer loaders, track mobiles, rail car movers, etc.)
• Manage grain storage by creating and moving grain piles, as well as performing general cleaning and housekeeping of bins and storage structures.
• Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and promptly reporting any unsafe practices or hazards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks as needed to support operations.

About You

• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
• Flexibility to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat (90-120F), cold (subzero), and high winds (40+ mph).
• Must be comfortable with climbing ladders, heights, and working in confined spaces
• Must be able to work in environments with dust and airborne particles, including grain dust
• Wear required PPE, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and safety footwear.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. multiple times per day and standing on hard surfaces for extended periods
• Experience in a grain facility preferred but not required
