Job summary

Scoular Co. is seeking motivated grain elevator operators to join our team and contribute to safe and reliable supply chain solutions for customers.

You will safely load and unload grain, operate heavy equipment, and manage storage while maintaining a clean, organized facility. This role requires physical endurance, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work outdoors in varied weather and shifts.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment physical and drug screening required.
• Overtime including nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.
• Outdoor work in extreme heat, cold, and high winds.
• Climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
• Work around grain dust; PPE required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Grain facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload grain and assist with weighing and grading.

• Manage grain storage and maintain bins and storage structures.

Job description

Scoular is seeking motivated grain elevator operators to join our team and contribute to our mission of creating safe and reliable supply chain solutions for our customers.

• Safely load and unload incoming and outgoing grain while assisting with the weighing and grading of grain trucks.
• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, skid steer loaders, track mobiles, rail car movers, etc.)
• Manage grain storage by creating and moving grain piles, as well as performing general cleaning and housekeeping of bins and storage structures.
• Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and promptly reporting any unsafe practices or hazards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks as needed to support operations.

About You

• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
• Flexibility to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat (90-120F), cold (subzero), and high winds (40+ mph).
• Must be comfortable with climbing ladders, heights, and working in confined spaces
• Must be able to work in environments with dust and airborne particles, including grain dust
• Wear required PPE, such as hard hats, safety glasses, and safety footwear.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. multiple times per day and standing on hard surfaces for extended periods
• Experience in a grain facility preferred but not required
