Bartlett in Council Bluffs, IA is hiring a Grain Elevator Operator for 2nd shift (2pm–12am). The role involves grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending and loading, with a focus on safety and quality in a busy facility.

The Basics

Location: Council Bluffs, IA

Compensation: $23.00/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be 2nd shift, 2pm to 12midnight, Monday thru Thursday with overtime as needed, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What you'll be doing:

The duties of this hands‑on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross‑trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check

• You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
