Job summary

Bunge is seeking an Operations Manager for our Lexington facility in Nebraska to provide operational leadership and ensure profitable, compliant, and safe grain handling and terminal operations.

You will oversee inventory control, cost management, maintenance, scheduling, space allocation, and talent development, collaborating with Location and Regional Managers to meet schedules and optimize yield and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or technical degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering, or Safety preferred.
• 3+ years' experience in a grain elevator or terminal in a leadership role.
• Experience leading an effective safety program.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong mechanical and maintenance aptitude; able to operate, service and troubleshoot equipment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory control in accordance with company requirements.
• Maintain operational cost control plan.
• Assist location manager in development and execution of facility improvements.
• Maximize mix & blend opportunities by using in-house stocks and market grain with effective space allocation.
• Schedule and lead all preventative maintenance; ensure OSHA-compliant safety.
• Lead talent development for operational staff to manage cost and ensure continuous operations.
• Ensure staff training on safety and operating procedures.
• Support energy conservation and asset security initiatives.
• Lead onsite workers including contractors and temps.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local regulations and company programs.
