Job summary

Nutreco, a global leader in animal nutrition, is hiring a Commodity Trader for the Hi-Pro Feeds brand in Comanche, TX or Friona, TX. You will develop trading strategies, manage purchasing and execution, and collaborate with logistics to ensure smooth supply.

You’ll use market analytics, build vendor relationships, and coordinate with the trading group to optimize contracts and settlements. This on-site role requires a business background and at least two years’ merchandising experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of merchandising experience.
• Proven knowledge of grain markets, hedging strategies, and commodity flows.
• Knowledge of agricultural trading standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and utilize trade skills in purchasing and execution in a defined market.
• Use market analytics to buy and sell commodities and support procurement decisions.
• Provide logistics assistance and manage contracts to ensure timely settlements.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships across purchasing and logistics teams.
• Prepare required reports and communicate market insights to stakeholders.
