Job summary

Nutreco is seeking a Commodity Trader to join Hi-Pro Feeds in Comanche, TX or Friona, TX. The role focuses on purchasing, execution, and market analytics to secure commodity supply within the region.

You will build vendor relationships and support logistics while optimizing trading outcomes. Ideal candidates have at least two years of merchandising experience, strong knowledge of grain markets, hedging strategies, and familiarity with agricultural trading standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
• Two years of merchandising experience required.
• Knowledge of grain markets and hedging strategies.
• Familiarity with agricultural trading standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and utilize trade skills in purchasing and execution within a defined market.
• Analyze market trends and communicate insights using company's risk tools.
• Support or lead logistics planning and execution for truck and rail transportation.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships and manage contracts and settlements.
• Prepare required reports and maintain market intelligence for procurement decisions.
