Job summary

Nutreco, through its Hi-Pro Feeds brand, seeks a Commodity Trader in Comanche, TX or Friona, TX to develop and execute purchasing and trading strategies within a defined market.

You will analyze markets, build vendor rapport, buy and sell commodities, and manage contracts while supporting logistics and settlements. A business degree and 2+ years merchandising are required; travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of merchandising experience.
• Proven knowledge of grain markets, hedging strategies, and commodity flows.
• Knowledge of agricultural trading standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop and utilize trade skills in purchasing and execution in a defined market.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships on purchasing and with logistics partners.
• Analyze market trends and communicate insights clearly.
• Support logistics planning and manage contracts and settlements.
• Travel as needed to manage vendor networks.
