Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Successful completion of EIT exam or ability to take it within 12 months.
  • Demonstrated interest through internships, volunteering, or organization memberships.
  • Creative thinking with a methodical, pragmatic problem-solving approach.
  • Proficient communication and presentation skills with clients and colleagues.
  • Resilient, solution-oriented mindset focused on continuous growth and delivering value.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Knowledge in soil mechanics, geotechnical engineering, foundations, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in development of tunnel designs, including shafts, linings, and underground structures.
  • Performing engineering calculations and supporting structural and geotechnical analyses.
  • Develop and review engineering drawings using CAD and modeling tools.
  • Support preparation of feasibility studies, technical reports, and design deliverables.
  • Contributing to internal design reviews and QA/QC processes.
  • Maintaining organized design documentation and records.
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (geotechnical, structural, civil).
  • Participating in internal project meetings and tracking actions.
  • Support preparation of presentations and technical summaries.
  • Building connections through our Early Career Professionals Network.

Your responsibilities
  • Assisting in the development of tunnel designs, including shafts, linings, and underground structures
  • Performing engineering calculations and support structural and geotechnical analysis
  • Develop and review engineering drawings using CAD and modeling tools
  • Support preparation of feasibility studies, technical reports, and design deliverables
  • Contributing to internal design reviews and QA/QC processes

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.

The expected salary for this position in LA is $79,000 - $88,000 and Austin is $76000-$84,000
