Arup is seeking a Graduate Transportation Planner in San Francisco to support location research, data collection and technical analyses across transportation projects. You will work with interdisciplinary teams to gather insights, prepare reports, and present findings to clients and stakeholders.

The role requires a relevant degree and knowledge of California's transportation environment. You will use Excel, GIS and other software, attend meetings, and contribute to project planning, urban

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation or Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, Geospatial analysis, or closely related field.
• Strong verbal, written, and visual communication abilities to convey complex information to non-technical readers.
• Some work experience in the transportation planning industry via research or internships.
• Knowledge of the California transportation environment and its planning challenges.
• Emerging project management/coordination skills (task planning, time management).
• Understanding of data science interactions with transport planning and urban resiliency.

• Conduct background research on locations, strategies, or policies.
• Data collection and quantitative analysis.
• Complete and document technical analyses.
• Prepare and write reports.
• Perform analyses using Excel, GIS, R, FME and tools like MassMotion, SYNCHRO, Vissim, or Aimsun.
• Attend team, consultant, and client meetings.
• Prepare technical and non-technical content for presentations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to learn new subjects.
