Job summary

Marshall University is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the English Department. The GA will teach in the Writing Center and English Composition courses, assist students, and follow university policies. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.
• Graduate standing in MA program with full-time enrollment requirements (up to 36 semester hours total).

Responsibilities

• Attend required training, workshops, and orientations.
• Teach in the Writing Center as assigned and assist students.
• Teach three-hour English Composition classes as assigned, post office hours, follow course policies.
• Hold classes at scheduled meeting times.
• Meet with supervisors as designated.
• Maintain satisfactory progress toward degree and good academic standing.
