• Respond to basic questions and provide resources or refer more complex questions to the appropriate staff member.
• Help promote DU BeInvolved during Welcome Week, DU Fest and other campus events.
• Assist with Family Academy sessions, events, and activities.

JOB TITLE: Graduate Student Worker – DU BeInvolved Engagement, Operations & Family Academy

DEPARTMENT: Division of Student Affairs

PAY RATE: $15.25 - $17.00/hour

REPORTS TO: Division of Student Affairs

DATES: September 2026-May 2027

HOURS: 20 hours per week

SUMMARY

The Graduate Student Worker will support the implementation, promotion, and day-to-day operations of DU BeInvolved, Dominican University’s student engagement and involvement platform, as well as provide support for the Family Academy program.

This position will help increase student and campus partner engagement with DU BeInvolved by supporting event management, student organization outreach, training, and the distribution of promotional materials and giveaways. The Graduate Student Worker will also assist with Family Academy by supporting session preparation, family communications and outreach, attendance tracking, program materials, and other administrative and engagement needs throughout the academic year.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve events and activities submitted through DU BeInvolved.
• Add and update events and activities in DU BeInvolved.
• Ensure event information is accurate, complete, and follow guidelines.
• Provide basic training and support to student organizations and staff on how to use DU BeInvolved.
• Respond to basic questions and provide resources or refer more complex questions to the appropriate staff member.
• Help develop creative ways to promote DU BeInvolved to students.
• Assist with Suitable marketing campaigns, tabling and student engagement initiatives.
• Help promote DU BeInvolved during Welcome Week, DU Fest and other campus events.
• Assist with identifying and ordering DU BeInvolved promotional items and giveaways.
• Maintain an inventory of giveaways and promotional materials.
• Coordinate the distribution of giveaways at campus events and student engagement activities.
• Collect and review DU BeInvolved engagement data, generate reports, and track engagement trends.
• Assist with planning and supporting Family Academy sessions, events, and activities.
• Help create engaging content for the Family Academy newsletter and other communications.
• Communicate with Family Academy members by email and assist with sending reminders and updates.
• Help welcome and engage families during Family Academy events and sessions.
• Collect and organize program information, including attendance and participation data.
• Assist with tracking family engagement and maintaining accurate program records.
• Help promote Family Academy events.
• Take on other projects that help strengthen the Family Academy experience for students and their families
• Assist with creating flyers, social media content, or other promotional materials for DU BeInvolved and Family Academy.

Other Responsibilities

• Assist with Suitable-related projects and initiatives as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow university policies and procedures.
• Provided feedback and recommendations for improving DU BeInvolved processes and student engagement.
• Provide general support with Family Academy projects and activities.
• Assist with OSI events on campus as needed.
