Job summary

The Student Services Advisor 4 at the Graduate Division provides advisory services and degree completion support for students, working with the dean, departmental staff, faculty, and students to ensure progress toward degree requirements and compliance with university policy. This exempt, monthly-paid role is full-time (40 hours/week) with up to 2 days/week remote work within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Academic Progression and Student Status - Reviews applications to advance to candidacy and other milestones; identifies probationary status and terminations.
• Workshops, Outreach, and Training - Hosts workshops and provides outreach and training for GSAO colleagues.
• Dissertation and Thesis Review - Reviews theses for conformity to standards and assists in manuscript submission.
• Staff Supervision and Operations - Hires, trains, and supervises work-study student assistants.
• Ensures compliance with university policies and coordinates with units to support graduate students.
