Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a Student Affairs Program Manager for the Health Infrastructures and Learning Systems (HILS) Graduate Program. You will lead academic and student services for the PhD and MS programs, reporting to the Chief Departmental Administrator.

The role covers academic, student affairs and financial administration, new student orientation, admissions outreach, and special projects. Hybrid work is available and collaboration with faculty and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
• 2+ years of full-time experience in student and academic affairs, services, administration, or similar functional areas
• 2+ years of full-time experience managing projects, event planning, or office management

Responsibilities

• Lead academic affairs administration for the graduate program, including seminars, defenses, retreats, symposiums and curriculum administration.
• Oversee student affairs administration such as orientation, recruitment, student committees, and communications with Rackham.
• Direct financial affairs, admissions, and summer programs administration, including GSRA/GSI appointments, financial aid, and budget monitoring.
• Coordinate planning and execution of orientation and admitted student training programs, housing contracts, and event planning.
• Manage general administration tasks, communications with students, faculty and alumni, and update program content on the website and SharePoint.
• Collaborate with the supervisor on complex matters and participate in staff and project meetings.
