TikTok is seeking a Software Engineer Graduate (Global SRE) in San Jose to own the reliability of our large-scale advertising systems and help design reliability architecture. This is a 2027 start role suitable for graduates with CS backgrounds and programming experience in Python/Go/C/C++/Java.

You will design, implement, and optimize disaster recovery solutions, manage capacity, and build monitoring and SLO tools while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and IP networking.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, C, C++, or Java.
• Strong analytical skills, ownership, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability of TikTok’s global advertising systems and participate in reliability architecture design.
• Design, implement, validate and optimize global disaster recovery solutions for advertising systems; lead DR preparedness and incident response.
• Manage and plan infrastructure capacity for advertising systems to scale with business growth.
• Develop reliability platforms and engineering tools including monitoring, alerting, SLO management, risk governance, and resource management.
