Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Graduate School seeks a Financial Administrator who is detail-oriented, process-driven, and collaborative, to support financial operations for approximately 3,000 graduate students.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance, this two-year, limited-term role oversees stipends, tuition scholarships, health insurance subsidies, payments, and travel expenses, with on-site work in South Bend, Indiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience managing complex budgets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to develop financial reports and analyze financial impact of decisions.
• Aptitude for developing and implementing process improvements.
• Strong ethical standards and ability to work with sensitive / confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key resource for students, department coordinators, and campus partners regarding funding processes and account inquiries.
• Process, review, and document financial transactions in compliance with University policies and reporting requirements.
• Oversee the review, tracking, and disbursement of professional development awards in partnership with Graduate School colleges and schools.
• Accurately process payments and review travel expense reports for compliance with University guidelines.
• Collaborate with campus partners to ensure accurate and timely transactions and reporting.
