Job Summary

The GRA will work with faculty through all stages of the Intercollegiate Athletics and Sport Analytics research projects.

40% Review of the Literature

• The literature review stage will be the heaviest responsibility for the GRA.

20% Data collection

• The GRA will collect data for the research projects carried out by the Sport Management faculty.

10% Reports

• The GRA will also be responsible for preparing monthly reports on the research activities performed.

10% Presentations

• Finally, the GRA will present end-of-semester data to program faculty and assist with reports for the research projects.

20% Database Development

• Guided by Sport Management faculty, the GRA will develop a database with contact information from Industry Professionals, Athletic Directors and other support professionals, coaches, and student-athletes who could be contacted in the future to collect information for the research projects.

Required Qualifications

To be considered for a graduate assistantship at the University of West Georgia (UWG), students must meet the following criteria:

• Be fully admitted to a graduate degree program at UWG. Please note: Students admitted provisionally are not eligible for assistantship positions.
• Hold a Bachelor¿s degree from an accredited institution.
• Be enrolled full-time in a UWG graduate program during the assistantship period.
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all previous and current graduate coursework.
• Meet eligibility requirements for employment in the United States.
