Job summary

University of Hawaii at Manoa seeks a Graduate Research Assistant to support a 3-year federally funded study on PFAS exposure affecting placental gene expression and child health. You will perform data management, statistical analyses, and manuscript support under PI supervision.

Candidate must be a degree-seeking Masters/PhD student with strong data skills, R programming ability, and a 3.0+ GPA; hybrid collaboration across teams is possible. Position begins mid-late August.

Qualifications

• Be a degree-seeking student in a Masters or PhD program under UHM Graduate Division.
• Maintain 3.0 GPA or higher and enroll for 6 credits/semester.
• Experience with quantitative data analyses and documentation.
• Some knowledge of statistical programming (R, Python, Stata).

Responsibilities

• Manage data, clean, and analyze data for a 3-year federally funded project.
• Assist with data QA/QC and merging using R/RStudio.
• Develop pipelines for data analyses and conduct descriptive and analytic statistics.
• Maintain notebooks using RMarkdown/Quarto and prepare manuscripts.
• Prepare presentations for meetings and conferences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
